Hi Dave,

Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how the board is going. Firstly, I have to say that it looks awesome! The immaculate presentation of the wood and the way you have matched the grain and knots seems to attract a lot of attention and I have had numerous people ask me about it. Funnily enough the comment I get from most people is that it looks too good to surf and should be hanging on my loungeroom wall... which would be a pity because it surfs so well.

Surfing wise, the board does exactly what we designed it to do. It is fast, loose and easy to paddle and it excels in Perth's knee-high slop. Actually, the thing I wasn't expecting was its performance on bigger waves. I have had a few surfs now in head to head and a half beach breaks and this board FLYS... without losing control whatsoever. It absolutely races through the walled up sections, but has the ability to stay on the wave when it gets really fat. And there are no problems withlaying back into a snap in the pocket when going full speed. If I had to pick a few words to describe how the board surfs, I'd say "fast, loose and smooth".

As far as recommending this board to other people, I'd say it is for the experienced surfer looking for a high-performance board, but doesn't want yet another thruster clone. I can't really recommend what wave sizes/types it is best suited for because I haven't found anything on which it doesn't work.

Anyway, cheers for all your help and a fantastic board. I'll flick through some pics of me surfing it when I manage to convice someone to take photos :)

Cheers,
Daniel
